THE HISTORY OF THIS WINE :

8A Moscato de OCHOA MdO was born in Adriana's mind during a trip to Italy, where she discovered the magic of Moscato D'Asti and began to think about making a low-alcohol sparkling wine. When Adriana returned to the estate she decided to make this delicacy.

THE WINE :

8A Moscato de OCHOA MdO is a sparkling, semi-sweet wine with a pale yellow colour and fine bubbles from the fermentation process. It is fresh, elegant, with its own identity, fine and discreet bubble.

TASTING

Colour :

Pale golden yellow colour and brilliant. Fine bubble.

Nose :

Typical Moscatel aromas of white roses, ripe fruit and citrus.

Mouth :

On the palate, it is reminiscent of ripe fruit and citrus. It is fresh, elegant, with its own identity, fine and discreet bubble.

Service :

It is recommended to serve this OCHOA MdO Moscato at a temperature between 8º and 10º / To be drunk or kept for 1 year.

DEVELOPMENT

8A Moscato de OCHOA MdO is a wine that has been left on its lees for 6 months, giving it good volume on the palate and fruity and floral aromas.

LAND

The vines used to make 8A Moscato de OCHOA MdO are grown on the Finca La Milla y Bosque plot.

SITUATION

Finca La Milla: This part of the estate extends over 45 hectares with the cultivation of Moscatel, Viura, Chardonnay, Merlot and olive trees. The clay-limestone soil is ideal for white grapes and for the red Merlot variety, which adapts well to the stonier areas, bringing minerality.

Finca El Bosque (Traibuenas): 38.1 hectares of Moscatel de Grano Menudo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Garnacha. The clay-limestone soil and southern orientation guarantee good exposure to the sun, which reduces the need for treatments in the vineyards, and favours integral, environmentally friendly viticulture. The low amount of organic matter in this soil means that yields are low.
