Fruity and spicy aromas typical of its ageing.
Mouth :
Ochoa Reserva is a mature and complex wine that retains its fruity, elegant and silky character. It is a round wine, with notes of ripe fruit and soft tannins. Good balance in the mouth, with round, balanced and soft tannins. Tasty, full-bodied and persistent.
Service :
To be consumed at 16°C/ To be drunk or kept for 3 years.
Food and wine pairing :
Ideal wine to accompany meats, especially lamb, as well as mature cheeses.

DEVELOPMENT
Aged in oak barrels for over a year, then bottled for a minimum of 3 years to become Ochoa Reserva. Aged for a total of 7 years in the cellar, the first 15-18 months in new 225-litre American and French oak barrels.
LAND
Different types of terroir depending on the fincas where the vines are grown (see below).
SITUATION
The vines are grown on the fincas El Secadero, La Milla and Montijo.
El Secadero: This part of the estate has 8 hectares of Tempranillo. It is a very cool and stony clay-limestone soil, which has always allowed us to obtain wines of exceptional quality. Great drainage capacity, better health and ripeness, this terroir transmits a certain minerality that makes the wines much more complex and special.
La Milla: This part of the estate extends over 45 hectares with the cultivation of Moscatel, Viura, Chardonnay, Merlot and olive trees. The clay-limestone soil is ideal for white grapes and for the red Merlot variety, which adapts well to the stonier areas, bringing minerality and structure.
Montijo: This is a very special estate for us. It is located in Olite, next to our current winery and there are the oldest vines, from which we obtain our Finca Montijo, a wine of limited production and with several recognitions, of intense black cherry colour.
