THE HISTORY OF THIS WINE :
This wine is a tribute to our grandfather Adriano Ochoa, fourth generation of the family. Adriano had many friends and took care of them. In his cellar there was always a wine for them, the "special". Through the wine, he created moments like this one, the 1938 Photo with his friends from Olite, our house. This is our special wine, dedicated to friends, team and family. Because the important moments of life are made with them and with a good wine they become greater.

The vines used to make OCHOA 8A LA PHOTO 1938 are grown on different plots according to each variety. Tempranillo: Finca Santa Cruz. Graciano: Finca La Pedrera. Merlot: Finca La Milla. Garnacha: Finca El Bosque.
Finca El Bosque (Traibuenas): 38.1 hectares of Moscatel de Grano Menudo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Garnacha. The clay-limestone soil and southern orientation guarantee good exposure to the sun, which reduces the need for treatments in the vineyards, and favours integral, environmentally friendly viticulture. The low amount of organic matter in this soil means that yields are low.
Finca La Milla: This part of the estate extends over 45 hectares with the cultivation of Moscatel, Viura, Chardonnay, Merlot and olive trees. The clay-limestone soil is ideal for white grapes and for the red Merlot variety, which adapts well to the stonier areas, bringing minerality.
Finca SANTA CRUZ: 55 hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo and Olives. Deep and very draining clay-limestone soil with low yields.
Finca LA PEDRERA: 5.5 hectares of Graciano. Very stony, clay-limestone soil with slight slopes, ideal for this very special and difficult to cultivate grape variety, which allows us to produce rustic and elegant wines.
